My other hobbies are horseback riding, rock climbing, traveling, enjoying musical theater, and eating good food.  I grew up in Texarkana, TX and studied chemical engineering at Texas A&M. Then I moved to Chicago and worked as a refinery consultant all over the world for 4 years.  When the traveling got too hard for family life, I decided to switch careers.  I got my FSA designation and became a health insurance actuary for 8 years.  When my husband was offered a job here in Memphis, I decided to try the stay at home mom gig.  Now my kids are in middle school and I find I have some free time to try something else.  So here I go with sewing lessons!
